Bohemian Rhapsody in Sign Language

For a while now, I’ve been learning American Sign Language. One of my favorite ways to learn is to sign songs. Recently, I learned to sign Let it Go from Frozen, and right now, I am working on Bohemian Rhapsody. Signing songs is different from singing in English. You sign the meaning of the lyrics rather than the words themselves. And for instrumental bits, you show the feelings that part of the song reflects. I find it fascinating and fun. Here’s Bohemian Rhapsody in sign language!

(Look around) This life real? Dream? Which?
Here stuck, Why? happen+++ overwhelm!
Eyes-open, look (upward), understand
Me? Poor
Pity (push away)
Happen++ Whatever
Sometimes happy, sometimes sad
Happen whatever, doesn’t-matter for me

Mother, man kill-him
(CL-L: gun-against-man-head, fire, man-die)
Mother, my life began, but my life ruin
Mother! (CL:O)
You cry, I fail, sorry
If tomorrow I not return, you continue++.
Pretend not-matter.

Late, my death approach
Fear (shivering), Pain (all-over)
Goodbye, now I must leave
Must leave, truth accept
Mother! Die, I not-want!
Sometimes I wish past I not born.

(guitar solo)

I see-myself, I become weak
Weak-man, you dance for-us?
Thunder, lightning, I afraid!
(g-telescope+++++), (f-happy)
Awesome!
I poor, love-me? None.
He boy, poor, from family, poor!
Please, his life preserve!
Happen+++ whatever, you allow leave?
NO, LEAVE FORBID!
Allow leave!
NO, LEAVE FORBID!
Allow!
NO, FORBID!
ALLOW! FORBID!
ALLOW LEAVE! LEAVE FORBID!
ALLOW LEAVE!
NO+++++++
(beg) Allow leave!
Devil, he wait for-me+++

You abuse-me, you think can?
You love-me, finish, don’t-care you?
Sweetheart, beg, hurt-me++ no!
Must escape, must run-away!

(guitar solo)

Happen++ not-matter, all understand.
happen++ not-matter
happen++ not-matter for-me.
